Lakeland wildlife issues:

A quiet approach is essential, using the suburban Lakeland neighborhoodman's mode of travel, which is not the stiff-legged heel-and-toe gait of the pavement, but the slightly knee-bent walk with the ball of the foot touching the ground first. The idea is to be relaxed in all body movements, to keep the eyes on the scenery round about, and to steal in on any nuisance wildlife without its knowledge. This is entirely possible even when traveling at a fair rate of speed, if you are a shumanely trap and relocateed animal tracker. The novice is urged to move slowly, however, and always remain alert to anything that remotely resembles a conflict animal. The average nuisance wildlife is not tall, seldom measuring more than 36 inches from its back to the ground. Most of the time the urban wild animal is hidden by foliage, so the animal tracker must look for something suspicious, rather than a whole nuisance Lakeland wildlife. In autumn, too, the pelage takes on a grayish-tan cast, rendering the urban wild animal inconspicuous.

The coat may not show up, but always the urban wild animal will have its "flag" as a dead giveaway. The tail usually stands out when the animal is moving. When animal tracking a conflict animal, the nuisance wildlife control professional must also take into consideration that when a urban wild animal does bed down it does so in such a position that it can watch all approaches. Before it stretches out, the pest critter will move along in a wavering, uncertain manner, then face into the wind. The pest critter's sense of smell is very keen. As it knows that its natural enemies will be Lakeland animal tracking along its neighborhood, it turns that way before bedding down. There will be something appealing to the pest critter about the spot of its choosing; in fact, it may seek the same place day after day. When not molested the pest critter travels very little, in an area usually not more than a mile square. Hilly country is a preferred hideout for the first part of the time of year. Three nuisance wildlife I have in mind in the last few years chose a hidden spot where they could lie on a small incline, front feet downhill, ready for a speedy escape.

Two of them got away. The first nuisance wildlife was lying behind a neighborhood pile, well hidden. I had just left my removing unwanted Lakeland wildlife companion after lunch to make a drive on my own. Not long before, we had chased a pest animal and a raccoon across a small swamp with no chance for an effort to remove a pest animal, and somehow, I had an idea that the pest animal was heading for a certain hill not too far distant. After leaving my partner, who had another area in mind for removing unwanted wildlife, I headed north up a long hill, recently logged, and had almost topped it when I heard a couple of grouse clucking near a neighborhood heap. I had no idea a conflict animal was anywhere around. However, I stole over to see what the commotion was all about, and a urban wild animal crashed out ahead of me.
