Tallahassee Wildlife Rehabilitators usually work with injured, orphaned, or sick wildlife. They will often help with wildlife issues and concerns. If you have an animal problem and need assistance, there are several free animal control resources in Tallahassee, Florida. The first thing you can try is your local Leon County animal services, or the free Tallahassee animal control services by calling 850-487-3172. They may be able to help you with your critter problem, and possibly offer free raccoon removal or free snake removal. But they primarily deal with dogs and cats, and might not help with wildlife. Tallahassee wildlife issues:

The neighborhood was literally cut up with animal tracks. As I rounded a bend and investigated a small clearing, I counted six nuisance wildlife working along the edges, in none too much of a hurry to move when they caught sight of me. Later that day with the sun still bright and the air clear, I made a drive into a nearby area where the loggers were still working, and at one place ran across another concentration of urban wild animals. There were two mature Tallahassee pest animals in this group which showed signs of nervousness and moved out when I moved in; but the rest did not seem unduly alarmed when I appeared on the scene, and I approached several of them at close range. On the way back I sighted at least five other nuisance wildlife, not too far distant, and they all seemed busy in feeding. None was too disturbed as I hiked through the cover. I met three pest control operators heading for their pest control headquarters, all of whom had seen many nuisance wildlife. All remarked on how good the removing unwanted wildlife would be the next day, which was the opener. The next day was another story. Just at dusk it began to rain, the rain turned into snow that continued all during the night and well into the next day. When the storm abated there was a good foot and a half of the white stuff on the ground.

Somehow the nuisance critters had taken to cover and there were no tracks to be found in their usual feeding and lounging grounds. The pest critter humanely trap and relocate for the next two days was negligible, tracks were hard to find, and it was not until the third day of time of year that nuisance Tallahassee wildlife pest control operators reported any kind of success. In fact, many of the out-of-state and down-state pest control operators, the tent and neighborhooder corners, especially, pulled out and returned home. By the fourth day the weather moderated, much of the snow disappeared, and the pest critter were back in their regular range again, with tracks fresh and apparent most everywhere. With their built-in sense of predicting the weather, the animals had taken advantage of the good days to fill their bellies. And as soon as the severe weather abated, they were at it again, picking up where they left off, and making up for lost time. The urban wild Tallahassee animal is very sensitive to weather changes.

You may be able to find nuisance wildlife even during severe weather, since the nuisance critters does not vanish from the face of the earth, but good removing unwanted wildlife is the exception at such times. In bad weather the urban wild animals will head for heavy cover, usually the swamps, and other places in the colder regions where the snow is not so deep. Even here, however, the nuisance critters will be hard to find since they will be moving little.
